When a player is dropped by one team and picked up by another team within 24 hours the team that dropped the player will pay as follows...
0 - 2,000,000 = Half of the salary 2,000,001 - 4,000,000 = 35% of the salary 4,000,001 - 6,000,000 = 1.5 million of the salary 6,000,001 - 8,000,000 = 2 million of the salary 8,000,001 - 14,000,000 = 2.5 million of the salary

hmm... that is a very respectable way, especially since i'll need to get rid of some of my goalies like brodeur possible, who has 7 mill.

well, i'm gonna need to get rid of my goalies, mostly huet and bryzgalov, but possibly brodeur or giguere too, either through trade or drop, which is better than paying half of broduers 7 million salary
